Within this section you are required to enter your academic history for all complete and incomplete previous and current degree-level study, starting with the most recent, including any courses that you are currently studying.
You are also required to enter any academic awards and distinctions that you have received.
The content of this section will form the basis of the academic assessment of your application and will help us set the terms of a conditional offer. With this in mind, it is important that you complete it truthfully.
University selection
Start to type the name of the university in which you studied and you will be provided with options that match your text in the form of a drop-down.
It is important that you type the official name of the university in its domestic format; for example, you should type 'Universita Degli Study Bologna' rather than ' University of Bologna'.
If the name of the institution or subject is too long for the text box, please abbreviate it as needed.
University not in list
If the university in which you study/studied does not show up when typed into the text box provided, please indicate so by ticking the 'University not in list' tick box before typing the name of the university in manually.
The purpose of this question is to ensure that our university list is kept up to date.
Degree / Qualification
To aid the assessment of your application, you are requested to tell us your degree / qualification in its domestic format, rather than translating it into its English equivalent.
For example, you should put 'Diplôme', 'Laurea', 'Gakushi' or 'Título de Grado' rather than 'Bachelor's Degree'.
If your degree is a double-major course and you will only be awarded one degree, please enter one academic record in this section. If you will be awarded two degrees, please enter both official degree titles in separate entry.
Applicants with international qualifications should check that their qualification meets the minimum equivalent in the UK. You can review this on the international qualifications page.
Degree / Qualification level
Please select the academic level, Undergraduate or Postgraduate for each completed or incomplete qualification you include. Please select Other if your qualification does not fit either category e.g. credits as part of an exchange or professional qualification.
Study Status
This is needed to aid the assessment of your application and to help set your conditions of offer.
Please select the status most relevant to your study:
Completion - if you have completed your study, you should provide a transcript and certificate/confirmation of award letter. Your transcript and/or certificate must confirm that the degree has been awarded, the date of award and your overall grade/classification.
In progress – if you are currently studying please provide an interim transcript/confirmation of enrolment letter and enter your expected completion date and grade.
Intermission or withdrawal – if you have already intermitted or withdrawn from your previous study please provide evidence from your University. If you intend to intermit or withdraw from your current course of study please enter the date you intend to do this from.
Transferred or part of an exchange – please include details of any partial study you have completed, uploading evidence of grades and credits obtained.
Dates of study
Please include both start and end dates for all academic history. This will support the assessment of your application and in determining qualification equivalencies, where applicable.
Expected / Final grade
When inputting your grade, please include what this is out of (e.g., GPA 3.8/4), if applicable.
If you have completed this degree and have received confirmation of your final grade, enter it here, this should match what is shown on your official transcript/certificate.
If you have not yet completed this degree, provide the expected grade/result that you are on course to achieve.
If the qualification is to be achieved outside of the UK, enter it in its domestic format rather than translating it into its UK equivalent.
If you have not previously studied in the UK, it is important to check to ensure that the qualifications you hold are considered suitable preparation for entry to your chosen course.
Please check our international qualifications page for qualification comparison information.
Evidence
Uploaded evidence should be in colour or certified by the University/Institution if it is in black and white.
You may upload up to 5 transcripts per entry, each of which must be in PDF format and no bigger than 2MB.
If your academic document is encrypted, we recommend you print out your transcript and scan this back into your computer so that the scanned version can be uploaded instead. Alternatively, you may want to take a screenshot of the document and upload this as a pdf.
Once your application has been submitted you will be unable to edit information or update documents. It will be at the discretion of the Department/Faculty to accept updated academic transcripts/CV’s etc.
Translation
All documents must be translated into English if your original document was issued in other languages. You must get it translated by an official authorised translator or your institution. Please upload your original academic document along with the translation to your portal for our assessment.
What if I have more than 5 qualifications that I would like to disclose?
If you have more than five degree-level (or higher) qualifications that you would like to disclose to those reviewing your application, you are advised to contact the department that administers the course that you are applying for with this additional information.
Academic Awards
If you have any prizes or academic distinctions that you feel may benefit your application, please indicate up to a maximum of five here.
Provide its name, reason for award, the date it was awarded and, if there was a monetary reward, how much was awarded.
Leaving this blank will not prejudice your application.
