We cannot provide information on the status of your Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) application. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office directly.
It is not possible for the University to chase up an ATAS application unless it was submitted more than eight weeks ago. During the peak period, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises that their processing time extends from four to eight weeks.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises that their processing time is 30 working days (6 full weeks). If you have not received your certificate after 8 weeks, please send an email to us with the following information:
• USN
• 6-digit ATAS application number
• estimated decision date (or date of application).
We periodically contact the FCDO to flag up overdue ATAS applications and we will include you in our list if appropriate. Please ensure you upload your certificate to your self-service as soon as you receive this.
In the meantime, continue to monitor your emails – including your junk mail – for a decision on your ATAS application.
