Most funding bodies will start making offers from March. Some Research Councils (NERC and MRC) may offer as early as February and other funding offers (for example from the Cambridge Trust) may be made as late as July.
Once it gets past the peak funding offer-making period of March and April, your chances of receiving funding will be significantly reduced, but you may still be offered an award if you applied for funding. Please bear in mind that you may not receive a letter or email from funders confirming that your funding applications was unsuccessful.
If you are successful, the funding bodies will contact you directly. For Cambridge Trust, this will be between March and July. For Gates Cambridge, this will be early February for U.S. applicants and late March for all other applicants.
If you have not been made any offers of funding by the end of July, you should assume you have not been successful in securing University funding.
