When do I need to take my language test?

You do not need to take the language test before you apply, unless you are applying for the LLM or MCL (the latter will have a deadline they accept tests by, please see the course directory for further details & department contact details). If you receive an offer of study then you will not need to meet our language requirements until the offer conditions deadline.

Providing us with incorrect/no language test results in your original application will not impact how your application is considered by the department or funding body. You are therefore advised to wait until the department make a decision as, should you receive an offer of study, you will have the opportunity to upload the correct language test results in order to meet the language condition of your offer that we set.

We cannot accept language test results unless the examination was sat within 24 months of the course start date.
