My language test scores don't meet the minimum. What do I do?

If you have an offer of study with us and one of your offer conditions is taking a language test:

For any language test that has been sat in the 24 months prior to your course start date, we always advise that you upload this to your self-service account – regardless of whether you have achieved the required minimum grade.

If your grade is close to the minimum that was required then it is possible for us to offer you an online language assessment with our Language Centre and so it is important that we receive a copy of your test results as soon as possible. Please note that not all applicants are eligible for a language assessment – your eligibility is decided by your department.

We will verify your uploaded document and update you via the Self-Service Portal on whether you will need to re-sit or if we can offer you an assessment.
