What happens if my references are going to be late/my referees cannot submit their references by the deadline?

We are unable to grant extensions to the submission of references and we cannot accept a reference uploaded after the deadline.

References must be submitted before the relevant funding or course deadline. Please note that if a reference is not received in time your application will not be considered by the department or relevant funding bodies.

If you have submitted your application before the relevant funding or course deadline but your reference(s) were submitted after this deadline, or your reference(s) are expected to arrive later than the relevant funding or course deadline, please contact your department to let them know. It is at the departments discretion whether they will still accept your application for the course and/or funding opportunities.

You may wish to consider nominating a different referee. You can do so through the ‘Manage References’ section of the Applicant Portal. Please note, however, that the same deadline will still be applicable.
